I love poetry, but I rarely write it.

When I do, I plumb the depths of my existence and my experience. I venture into my understanding of others and the world. I look at the obvious and the not so obvious in search of truth. I often turn up darkest night. Occasionally I discover brightest day. Sometimes I happen upon a place inbetween.

I don’t know where my poetic outings will lead, but I hope the journey is cathartic. And revelatory. For you, the reader, I hope it entertains.

Life is good and bad. Up and down. Here and there. Let’s have a look, shall we?

  1. Like your poetry and your honesty. Knew you long ago. Glad you are doing well and making word art. You were a bright light in hazy high school purgatory. Your goodness insisted upon itself. Keep writing brother.

  2. For a brief time we did time at York High. You were kind to me. I was the tall mixed girl named Missy Zink . Life was rough then and I never forget good people.

  3. Ah. Missy, Missy, Missy. One of my true friends. You loved Prince. You were quirky, and funny, and kind, and so many things. We were friends with Megan (sp?). And, yes, we did time at York High. Doubly yes, life was rough then and I, like you, never forget good people. So glad that you’ve reached out and found me. You inspired me to write “Dust to Dust.” I wrote it the day you first contacted me, while my mind reeled in fragments of our past.
