Forget Me Not by Randy Wayne Spire

Today I think

about colors

I will wear

of random words

that may tear

and of faces

I must bear.

I remember

the young children

we once were

how awkward teens

were a blur

that as grown men

we still stir.

I imagine

coming hellos

and goodbyes

faded photos

tears in eyes

looking forward

to sunrise.
